Final Automotive-web interface
This is my final rendition of my ultimate automotive web-communicative interface. This car is designed for those who love to drive, and to be in control of their vehicle. I have incorporated the traditional sense of a standard automotive interior, and integrated it with imaginable futuristic dual-display system. The displays are projected as transparent holograms. For security reasons, the driver-side screen is minimized when the car is in motion. However, the driver-side information is always displayed in the touch-screen on the steering wheel. The steering wheel has comfort grips at 10 and 2 o'clock. The left hand controls the interface with a series of buttons, as the right hand controls the cursor with a thumb-joystick. The passenger-side is equipped with its own digital display system, touch-cursor, and pop-out keyboard. The passenger's display can be active during all states of the vehicle. Technologically, the rest of the car is pretty standard, and is the way I would be most comfortable in an automobile.

Automotive web-interface
There are two main displays, one is on the driver's side and one is on the passenger's side. The displays are projected from the dashboard and reflected perpendicularly to the respective user in order to simulate a computer desktop. Some safety features would disable the driver's side display, or minimize it when driving, in order to prioritize concentrating on driving.

Collages / Montage Theory
Collage
Sergei Eisenstein
Eisenstein introduced the five methods of montage as follows:
- Metric
- Rhythmic
- Tonal
- Overtonal
- Intellectual
I believe these methods are used as the foundation of modern films. Now that I am aware of these methods, I can apply them to the films I’ve seen, as well as the videos I’ve produced. In the wiki example of Metric from Eseinstein’s “Oktober” it is quite clear that there is no direct relation to the frame at which it switches from the first clip where the small people are running around in a panic away from gunfire, to the second clip where the gunner is firing. The point is that it toggles back and forth between those clips not specifying the image presented in their own respective clips, but switching back and forth like that informs the audience visually. Now that I can think in terms of methods of montage, I believe I have used Rhythmic montage in my video “Frenemies” (click here to see) in the scene where Ricardo is in the bar taking shots of vodka. The character is seen consuming shots of vodka at an alarming pace from a multitude of angles. The Tonal montage encapsulates the emotion of the images presented. Whereas the Overtonal montage uses all of the previously mentioned methods of montage and simulates a collage within itself to create a complex emotionally-tied experience for the audience. Finally the intellectual montage is when the filmmaker uses a collage of images to produce an abstract idea. Such as the scene in “The Matrix Revolutions” where Neo is propped up in the form of a cross just like the symbol of Christianity (Jesus propped on the crucifix).

Color Theory
Here is my 21-tone monochromatic scale. I found that the red mixed much easier with the white paint, than it did with the black paint. Even after diluting the red + black mixture it became textured.
Here is my monochromatic representation of fire on logs. I suppose a fine-tipped brush would have been better to use.
Here is a complementary composition of my fire design. Using the complementary colors red and green.
Here is my final color scheme. As you move up from the base of the painting, the painting changes from cold (green and brown), to warm (red, orange, and yellow).

In-class Textures
To the left is an set of textures using similar lines based on the interpretations of the definitions to the same six words used in the In-class Composition assignment:
ORDER
INCREASE
STRENGTH
CONGESTION
TENSION
LIVELY
Comments:
Use a fine-tipped writing utensil when creating textures, regular Sharpie's just don't cut it.

Representative - Yes it is an umbrella
I love this picture because I believe it represents me quite accurately. It shows that I have hair, eyebrows, two eyes, a nose, a mouth, a neck, and a torso. All physical attributes aside, there is much more to me than simple anatomy, like my fixation on randomness. This photo is an accurate representation of myself embracing my arbitrary side. No animals were harmed in the making of that umbrella.
Interpretive - Behind the DELL
Glued to a standard 1280 x 800 laptop screen. I am often in close proximity to a GUI, whether it be in a Mac or PC, doing some Video-editing, or developing Flash applications. You are most likely to see me behind a monitor with a refresh-rate of 60+ Hz. Computers are not my life, they just like to hang out with me.
